/ / / ABOUT THE ART: an excerpt from my blog /
the world will be what it always has been--a time garden, a playground of extremes and paradoxes for consciousness to explore its yet known octaves of consciousness.
we are whole before we incarnate in flesh and we are whole when we return from flesh to formless flow. we come here to be broken, disconnected, seeking the irresistible magic that is connection with life, alone or with others in any number of manifestations. we arrive at the illusion of ego, of individuality, to fantastically suffer in all its wonder.
ever since my mom died (or graduated) in December [2017], I have perpetually rediscovered myself connected to an endless stream of wonderful, profound consciousness that is endlessly open, gently inquisitive, playful and inviting me to open to it further. in all honesty, I never identified solely as human and the further through the rabbit hole of life I go, I see myself witnessing friends taking their humanity, their relationships, their stories, their roles, their possessions so seriously, so personally, so defensively that I can't help but wonder if I have died, too, because I cannot participate in this once very entertaining act of self-importance anymore. I would rather be a consciously confused fool than a fool playing a demigod. self-importance for the sake of nurturing our wounds, our stories, whether real or perceived is madness. how is belief in the self more important than the reality that this, too, all of this, will pass, and come again to pass?the multitudes of layers in the peaks and valleys of our little human experiences sets the stage of contrast for beauty to be observed at all. to that end, I am unapologetically a beauty fool; the perspective of beauty is the vehicle through which I interface with this bizarre little planet hurling through space at 67,000 miles per hour, echoing another fool's self-realization that today is the first day of the rest of my life.

The Gift

30"x40" acrylic and oil on canvas ~ 2023I'm always seeking new ways to express the immense reverence I have for the alchemical magic of death and that which is beyond the measurable confines of our material existence. These things give life meaning and fuel my purpose. This painting is an ode to the life-altering divine grace of beauty and otherworldly support that comes with transmuting the challenge of metaphoric and real death into opportunity for profound new connection to our uniquely individual experiences of reality.

/ / / ABOUT THE GIFT /
“The Gift” is in many ways an interpretation of the personal alchemy I embarked upon in returning for nearly two years to my remarkably unimpressive suburban hometown to remodel my deceased mother’s dilapidated home laden with memories from my wildly troubled yet overwhelmingly mystical youth.

/ / / THE SYMBOLISM /
The background arches, common in temples from all esoteric and religious traditions, represent the dome of our heads. The cranium is where the hermetic seal of the pineal gland remains unbroken until we slip out of body during astral or full on out of body travels and again, but completely, at death. The geo-electromagnetic halo emanating around the skeleton's head represents the synchronicities that only through time and experience make sense; and how, conversely, through time, as we organically evolve and shift perspective in looking back on our life experiences, the luminous parts of the synchronous unfolding of our time on Earth shifts around in ways that offer new insights and an expanded sense of meaning or purpose to every single event. With gentleness, the skeleton spirit beholds the gift of connection to the everlasting Infinite by the glowing roses weaving through him (the skeleton model used was male). It is only through death that The Gift can exist; through a realized personal intimacy with the cathartic qualities of death (i.e. total surrender and transcendence of self) we create the inner space for an embodied connection to the Infinite to consciously dwell within us in the state otherwise known as communion. And the raven, well, that’s my astral friend from childhood. Birds are remarkably attuned to what we call subtle energy move and are able to move fluidly between this world and invisible realms in terms of delivering communications beyond time or space. I hope you can imagine the extreme joy I felt when in 2022 I finally met the work of Neil Gaiman, starting with The Sandman comic + TV series and discovered the protagonist Dream has ravens just like my spirit buddies!

/ / / THE GIFT of SPONTANEOUS CHAOTIC GOOD aka HIGH MAGICK /
In honor of the gifts the dead leave us with that forever bloom in our hearts and minds in ways we cannot anticipate, we are simply aware of it happening when it happens, as the river of our time on Earth continues without them. This is not the place to go into utmost, but I must name some points of reality bending that occurred leading up to and during my mom’s departure:- On my mom’s last birthday, just three months prior to her death, the bouquet of white roses my dad gave her to celebrate her 69th year stayed fresh and blooming for one month straight despite one water change. Even when they finally died and dried, they dried mostly erect in surprising defiance to gravity.- A week before she passed, an owl would land on my parents roof and made a ruckus for three nights. though my mom was not Persian, but with a Persian man (my dad), it is said in Persian superstition lore that someone in a household will die when an owl lands on the roof and makes themself known.- Backtrack: a week before my dad’s mom passed in the mid-late 1990s, one of his siblings in Iran noticed their rose bushes began profusely blooming a rose within a rose within a rose which continued for some time after their mom Tuba’s death (Tuba is Farsi for a grand tree in paradise that cares for the people who have crossed over). Fast forward to 2017: one week before my mom passed, my parents small and entirely unrelated rose bush in Texas did the same and continued to do so for three months after. You can see the evidence in my instagram stories at the top of my IG profile labelled “mom’s departure”.~ When I got the call, I was in the art studio with my then-new best friend. All day we had been musing and making art in commemoration of her own mother’s 20 year deathiversary. We had only known each other a few months but instantly bonded... This and more is really why this work of art is titled, “The Gift.”

Seraphibonacci

30"x40" acrylic and iridescent pigment on canvas ~ 2020

/ / / ABOUT THE ART /
Originally painted on a 30” x 40” canvas in acrylic paint with iridescent paint accents on the heart rays, halo and parts of the background swirling seed of life patterns.“Seraphibonacci” is a portmanteau of seraphim and fibonacci. Seraphim, the plural form of seraph, are multi-winged, androgynous angels regarded in Abrahamic religions as belonging to the highest order of the celestial hierarchy. Also known as the "burning ones", the seraphim are God’s agents of purifying change thanks to their endless, burning love for God's creation. In this painting I blended the iconic six-winged seraph with a punk rock Divine Mother-esque spirit of loving kindness beholding the sacred heart which I portray as a modified flower of life. With the flower of life, a series of geometrically perfect interlocking circles weaves the web of infinite love and light which unfold in divine, sacred proportion to the rhythm of fibonacci, the golden ratio, the rainbow thread that weaves the patterns of the universe and the pulsing heartbeat of All That Is.This painting was made for a friend who has embodied the highest aspects of unconditional love, kindness, fiercely independent authenticity and purity of consciousness.

whois?

Nehira Jupiter is a classically trained artist using paint, photography and the written word to explore and make visible the invisible strings of intelligence that weave the mysteries of life on Earth (and beyond) together. She has had mystical experiences and unusual encounters with death since early childhood. At 15 years old, a near death experience crystallized her knowing that there is far more to life, the material makeup of the universe and thus to consciousness, than what we experience with our so-called ordinary physical senses.Creating art helps her satisfy the desire to make sense of the eternally changing nature of life as witnessed by the eternally unchanging nature of being.

e d u c a t i o n
Formal education includes an intentionally curated two years of full time college art classes only (design, drawing, painting, photography), a half year intensive in Vienna, Austria studying classical painting techniques of the old masters from their living descendants, and photography apprenticeships with A and B-list Hollywood and executive portrait photographers.Nehira has worked extensively as a real estate, commercial, event and portrait photographer for public and private groups. All surrealist and multiple exposure photos are created in-camera only with minimal, if any, post processing. As someone with extensive Vedanta and Buddhist training, she prefers to edit minimally if at all to showcase the essential beauty of reality as it is.Notably, Nehira annually dedicates several weeks, and sometimes months, to immersing in monastic and/or silent meditation retreat to satisfy her need to leave this world better than she found it by embodying the heart of wisdom traditions.
